Hey y'all...

I was thinking that we should have a street dance in Nome the evening of
Labor Day. Everyone has to be back in town for work the following day,
so why not come back in the afternoon and cap off your great holiday
with some good music and dancing.

I have asked the folks at Land Bridge Toll Booth if they want to play...
they are checking on that.
Karlin Itchoak has been asked if he would be a "caller" and he is
willing to look at that as well.

I can get the Nome Regulators together for color, and perhaps to help
put this together by setting up the area, haying the street, maybe
getting the bleachers from the City again for seating.

I would be looking for people to help sell food perhaps, or maybe
judging some type of dance contest for one or two songs, perhaps some
other things could be done to go along with the festivities.

I have two canopies to assist in protecting the musicians and crew...
but I am an optimist and believe the weather will be great

If this sounds like fun and there is anyone who would enjoy helping with
this, please contact J.J. Jolley at:
 pburke at nomealaska.org

I need to know within the week.Thanks.
